Module Aims

The aim of this module is to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of sexual health and various disorders related to it.
Participants will gain knowledge about common infections, sexually transmitted infections, genito-urinary skin disorders, and both male and female sexual dysfunction.
By the end of this module, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to diagnose, manage, and provide effective care in sexual health.

LO1 An ability to critically appraise the evidence relating to the pathophysiology, impact, management and prevention strategies in sexual health medicine, applying these effectively to varied presentations of common infections and sexually transmitted diseases.
LO2 Critically evaluate the psychological and physiological aspects of male and female sexual dysfunction and relate this to clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
