To develop student’s higher level critical thinking skills, so that they can identify, analyse and evaluate information, to give accurate and relevant advice.??
To develop a logical, methodical, and efficient strategy to research topics that are relevant to the context of a real-world problem, and the ability to present that research in a clear, concise and authoritative manner.??
To enhance their ability to work independently on a significant project.??
To critically evaluate academic and industry resources to produce an academic study appropriate for the relevant audience.
Content Summary
This module gives students the opportunity to conduct in-depth academic research in their selected field of management. These will be real-world issues, drawn from a range of sectors and companies, such as SME’s, multi-national and non-profit organisations to expose students to challenges they may face as a manager.??
They will analyse sectors (macro and micro analysis) using academic and industry sources, apply knowledge and skills gained from previous modules and apply these to a real business problem(s).???
Students will work independently to research and write a detailed study of their findings with potential recommendations.??
