Module Aims
The module aims to develop and enhance the employability of students by providing them with the opportunity to develop a wide array of professional skills valued by the strategic and digital marketing industry employers.
Content Summary
The module will involve a series of professional skills workshops offered to students, reflecting contemporary professional and practical marketing and digital practice. Delivered by industry experts and/or academic specialists the workshops will be organised around six central themes:
Creative Skills e.g., brand storytelling.
Digital Skills e.g., Google Analytics, podcasting and blogging.
Performance Management Skills e.g., behavioural science and management skills.
Key Professional Skills e.g., Project management; data analysis, evaluation and presentation
Career Development Skills e.g., LinkedIn personal branding and career planning
Consultancy Skills e.g., communication for clients and project management
Students will also be signposted to relevant online or learning /networking opportunities by the course leader and module tutors coinciding with module delivery and USW provision.
