Module Aims
To provide students with an understanding of Film and Television scenic construction materials and techniques which reflect current industry practice.
To give students a practical understanding of the principles and materials of scenic construction in a workshop environment, with an outcome of constructing elements of scenery.
Content Summary
Scenic construction for Film and TV will be explored by a range of theory and practical sessions.
Students will have the opportunity to construct basic elements of scenery whilst understanding principles of a range of materials. Students will have the opportunity to construct scenery for collaborative work, and understand the context of multi camera filming. Students will be given an Induction into the Fabrication Workshop and Television Studio.
This module contains a six week Immersive Learning element.
