Module Aims
1. To introduce the theoretical and practical elements related to the concept of Sports Performance Analysis.
2. To develop an understanding of the Sports Performance Analysis Process (as presented in Stanway and Boardman, 2020).
3. To develop an understanding of the application of the Sports Performance Analysis Process using current, industry relevant technologies.
Content Summary
Module content will introduce students to performance analysis and include;
• The development of sports performance analysis, an introduction.
• Subjective and objective analyses of sports performance.
• Understanding the performance analysis process and its stages.
• Appraisal of software packages used in performance analysis.
• Creation of a notational analysis system using relevant software packages.
• Applying the stages of the analysis process in practice using industry relevant software packages.
