Content Summary

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn archwilio datblygiad 'ffasiwn' fel ffenomen ddiwylliannol a chymdeithasol. Rydym yn ystyried sut gall ffasiwn fel diwydiant a system ddiwylliannol alluogi a pharhau anghydraddoldebau ac arferion anfoesegol. Ac eto, rydym hefyd yn archwilio sut gall ffasiwn, steil a dyluniad alluogi pobl i drawsnewid cymdeithas er gwell.

Drwy ymgysylltu’n feirniadol â ffasiwn fel gwrthrych, delwedd ac offeryn symbolaidd, mae’r myfyrwyr yn cael eu cyflwyno i ddulliau ymchwil perthnasol fel dadansoddi gwrthrychau a dadansoddi gweledol beirniadol. Mae'r pwyslais amlddisgyblaethol, sy'n allweddol i faes academaidd Astudiaethau Ffasiwn, yn golygu bod myfyrwyr yn cael eu hamlygu i'r croestoriad rhwng astudio ffasiwn a disgyblaethau fel anthropoleg, hanes, cymdeithaseg, seicoleg ac economeg.

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn annog myfyrwyr i ddatblygu eu gwybodaeth am ffasiwn, i feddwl yn feirniadol, i archwilio a thrafod materion perthnasol gan ddefnyddio enghreifftiau penodol. O hynny, bydd myfyrwyr yn datblygu sgiliau ymchwil a dadansoddi a fydd yn eu galluogi i gyfleu safbwynt beirniadol gwybodus.
