Module Aims

To develop the students understanding of the principles of assessment, and development through coaching and mentoring within the workplace, including how to deal with dissatisfaction and complaints. 

To enhance the students understanding of key aspects and the impact on the community of partnership working, with emphasis on valuing diversity and inclusion, and offender management within a criminal justice context. 

To develop students understanding of effective strategies, and processes used within operational policing in particular response and roads policing, including investigations with an international element. 

Content Summary

In this module using a blended learning approach students will gain an understanding of the key elements associated with the impact of diversity, including offender management within the criminal justice system. 

Through discussions and case summaries students will review the impact of criminal activity facilitated by the road network and consider how to reduce fatalities.  

Students will review and analyse the guidance and processes relating to international enquiries and investigations. 

Students will evaluate the role of Police in dealing with a wide range of complex joint emergency service incidents, exploring crowd behaviours & psychology and the impact of policing communication skills and the media 

Blended scaffolded learning builds the students understanding of assessment, coaching using personal development within the workplace, including exploring processes with police complaints. 

Students will explore the key aspects of partnership working, and how police actions can impact  community Policing practice.
