Module Aims

To develop student knowledge and awareness of the animation industry.

To recognize requirements and opportunities in the online marketplace and prepare for graduation through self-promotional materials and activities.

To enforce professionalism within the specialization and to prepare the student for the next stage of their careers.

Content Summary

Company structures - Study of animation companies and job roles including research into studio activities relevant to the students own specialist area. Recognizing career opportunities, and postgraduate options.

Report on specified companies, including identification of the students individual skills which need developing or improving in preparation for the industry.

Creation of a website and further online presence relevant to CG animation/games/VFX industry employers in order to showcase work and maximize future employment potential.

A guest lecturer programme to support module will include professionals from the industry and self-employed artists.

# Learning Outcome
LO1 Employ professionalism when relating to work as an artist/designer/practitioner, including professional ethics, budgetary concerns, etc. Recognise requirements and prepare for graduation through the production of self-production materials and activities.
LO2 Examine and analyse the structure and market place of specified set of companies, including the appreciations of team roles within the production process and the importance of company structures and organisation, in order to evaluate the variety of production opportunities within specific companies and the wider industry.
