Module Aims

The main aims of the module are: 

  • To enable the student to reflect on their own development. 

  • To develop skills aligned to their disciplinary areas.  

  • To create an evidence based reflective portfolio.  

Content Summary

This module is designed to support students in developing key academic, personal, and professional skills aligned with their chosen discipline, while fostering a strong sense of belonging within the university community. Through weekly themes and interactive activities, students will explore their identity as learners and emerging professionals, building confidence and competence in both digital and discipline-specific contexts. The module encourages students to reflect critically on their progress, identify strengths and areas for development, and engage with the tools and resources available to support their success. By the end of the module, students will produce an evidence-based reflective portfolio that demonstrates their growth, skill development, and readiness to progress in their academic journey.
