Module Aims

The main aims of the module are: 

  • To develop advanced knowledge and critical understanding of project management methodologies and their application within creative industry contexts, enabling students to make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.? 

  • To equip students with the practical, transferable, and professional skills required to lead, plan, and deliver creative projects using digital tools, while effectively managing teams, resources, and stakeholder relationships.? 

  • To foster reflective, ethical, and sustainable project leadership, encouraging students to evaluate the broader social, environmental, and technological impact of their work in preparation for professional practice in the evolving creative industries.? 

Content Summary

This module equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead and manage creative projects in dynamic and evolving industry contexts. Students will explore a range of project management methodologies—such as Agile and Waterfall—and apply them to real-world creative briefs. Through collaborative, challenge-based learning, students will design and deliver a full project from concept to completion, using digital tools to plan, budget, manage risks, and engage stakeholders. The module also encourages critical reflection on the ethical, sustainable, and technological dimensions of project work, including the use of AI and digital platforms. By developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, students will be prepared to manage complex projects and contribute meaningfully to the creative industries. This module supports the course’s emphasis on digital fluency, sustainability, and professional readiness in the modern business landscape.?
