Content Summary

Are you ready to take your understanding of inclusive education to the next level? Delivered through an online, asynchronous format, this module builds on foundational knowledge to develop advanced skills in planning, delivering, and evaluating inclusive Physical Education (PE) and health-focused lessons. You’ll explore strategies to promote equity, mental health, and wellbeing in diverse school settings, while critically reflecting on pedagogical decisions to ensure best practice.

Interactive online resources, recorded tutorials, and challenge-based tasks will guide you through the process of designing an Inclusive PE Scheme of Work. Weekly activities will scaffold your learning, including digital resource creation, micro-teaching reflections, peer feedback through platforms like Padlet, and asynchronous discussion forums. You’ll also examine contemporary issues such as cultural competence, SEND adaptations, and cross-curricular health promotion, ensuring your teaching approach is inclusive and evidence-based.

This module prepares you for real-world professional practice by embedding graduate attributes such as leadership, communication, and digital fluency. By the end, you’ll have the confidence and competence to create innovative, inclusive PE experiences that inspire lifelong physical activity and wellbeing - key skills for careers in education, sport development, and health promotion.
