Module Aims

  • Allow you to take responsibility to apply pedagogical theory in designing inclusive, participant-centred coaching programmes that promote effective learning and engagement.

  • Develop your critical understanding of how to design and sustain coaching environments that are inclusive and supportive for all participants.

  • Help you to critically evaluate coaching practice through structured reflective processes that foster the ongoing development of coaching identity and professional behaviours.

Content Summary

Advanced Coaching builds upon the foundational knowledge developed at Level 4 and 5, equipping you with advanced understanding and applied skills in coaching. In this module, you’ll dive into topics like coaching environments, session planning, and practice design, while also exploring how to work with others and tailor your coaching to suit both individuals and teams.

You will engage in critical reflection to deepen your understanding of your coaching philosophy and identity, while applying inclusive, evidence-informed methodologies to enhance your coaching practice across diverse contexts. By working with real-world case studies, completing flexible online tasks, and engaging in reflective activities, you'll build a deeper understanding of how to adapt your coaching to meet the needs of both individuals and teams. This module helps you grow as a coach by building your skills in critical thinking, reflection, and teamwork. It also supports your personal leadership development and prepares you for the real-world challenges of coaching in grassroots, community, and academy settings.
