Module Aims

The main aims of the module are to: 

  • Empower students to confidently transition into professional practice. 

  • Foster autonomy and digital fluency enabling students to take ownership of their professional identity. 

  • Build confidence in professional communication and networking by developing interview techniques, presentation skills, and strategies for engaging with industry professionals and peers. 

Content Summary

Aligning with USW graduate attributes, this final-year module adopts a challenge-based learning approach, empowering students to solve real-world career challenges through active engagement and reflection. 
Emphasizing autonomy, learners take ownership of their professional identity by developing portfolios, job application packs, and personal branding strategies. Digital skills are embedded through LinkedIn optimization, social media presence, and online networking. 
By integrating interview techniques, networking strategies, and industry consultations, the module equips graduates with confidence, adaptability, and entrepreneurial thinking—preparing them for diverse career pathways in fashion and marketing, including employment, enterprise, and postgraduate study.
