Module Aims
This module will use previously taught modules to shift focus from live events where equipment is brought in, then taken out – and look at installed systems, and how they can be designed, implemented and maintained.
Students will look at how technologies designed for installation differ from those of a temporary live event nature, and the knowledge that is needed to specify, use and install these safely and appropriately.
Content Summary
Hand and power tools, their safe and appropriate use, maintenance, and ensuring using the correct tool for the job.
Fixtures and fittings, identifying correct use for different applications.
Awareness of regulations around installations
Manufacturer guidance information, understanding warranties, guarantees, insurances and limitations of liabilities.
Control systems and integration
Selection of appropriate technology
Collecting information methods and ensuring compatibility with the needs of an end-client.
