Module Aims

  • To facilitate learners to select, curate and apprise a selection of their work to create a digital portfolio (including a research poster)

  • To enhance learners’ employability skills through reflection, reflexive evaluation and self-assessment

  • To develop learners’ autonomy and ownership of their learning and future development by self-assessing their progress against the eight benchmarks of the challenge-based curriculum

Content Summary

This module causes learners to recognise, reflect on and communicate the value of the knowledge, skills, attributes and competencies accrued as you progress through and beyond university.  You'll develop your ability to audit and evidence your progress and skills in different contexts to curate a portfolio of your work showcasing your professional competencies, graduate attributes and readiness for graduate employment, postgraduate study or entrepreneurship.  This portfolio can be added to your social media profiles and used at interviews to connect your history degree with your future.  You will also be encouraged to exhibit your work at an end-of-year show and networking event.
