Module Aims

To consolidate and develop knowledge of the events sector introduced across modules at Levels 4 and Level 5.

To enable students to demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge and understanding gained through the course with regard to conceptualising, planning, implementing and reviewing an actual event.

To enable students to demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate the delivery of a live event from the perspective of the principle of the reflective practitioner.

Content Summary

• The creation and delivery of a live event supported and funded by SWBS as the commissioning client.
• Demonstration of the application of the EMBOK model through initiation, planning, implementation, event delivery, and closure/evaluation.
• Production of a complete and detailed event file covering all five EMBOK event functions:
o administration, design, marketing, operations and risk
• An individual stage-by-stage (self) reflective practitioner analysis of the event process and the event outcomes.
