Module Aims

This module aims to provide students with the knowledge, abilities, and skills needed to reflect on a professional development experience and write an appropriate professional development plan.

Content Summary

The ability to be a reflective practitioner is particularly important for professional development planning and career growth in marketing. Marketers need to display a range of professional competencies and this module is designed to allow you to grow both personally and professionally in your areas of choice.

The module will begin with an induction programme which addresses many of the key aspects of the placement and the assessment requirements.

Students will reflect upon their professional development in relation to Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Professional Competencies and respond with an appropriate professional development plan. This will be based on their work for MK2SX5 (a 10 week placement within an organisation, or a 10 week engagement with an the School’s Business Clinic) or MK2SX6 (70 hours of approved volunteering and an additional 30 hours of approved professional development activities).
